CANVAS HOUSE

Location : JAIPUR, INDIA
Size : 4250 SQ.FT.
Year : 2017 COMPLETED

The awe-inspiring spectacle of a colossal 15×15 ft. block suspended in mid-air, defying gravity with sheer elegance. This structural and architectural marvel, achieved through the ingenious artistry of reverse bridge engineering, stands defiantly without any column supports on three sides. As it hovers gracefully, it casts a protective shadow over the car porch below, while allowing unrestricted movement and ample parking space.

Drawing inspiration from the captivating hanging gardens of Mumbai, the facade comes alive with a symphony of metal louvres. Not only do these exquisite elements bestow a mesmerizing aesthetic, but they also play a crucial role in ensuring privacy and providing much-needed shade. However, the allure does not end there.

The front-facing mass block deliberately tapers, transforming into a captivating canvas for the radiant sun to paint its ever-changing masterpiece. Throughout the day, month, and years, the sun’s gentle dance creates a symphony of captivating shadows upon this remarkable structure. The facade itself becomes an enchanting ode, paying homage to the celestial artist that graces us with its presence.
