A prestigious furniture manufacturer embarked on a renovation endeavor to rejuvenate their aging building, a structure distinguished by its frame design. The innovative concept centered on enhancing the existing stone-clad exterior by superimposing a new secondary façade, thus preserving the building’s distinctive character instead of opting for the more intrusive demolition and reconstruction route.

Internally, the project aimed to create an open and unobstructed space by removing all internal partitions, a perfect canvas for showcasing one-of-a-kind furniture pieces to visitors. The façade itself was a masterful composition of wooden-finished metal frames filled with meticulously arranged cut bamboo panels. This design choice facilitated a captivating interplay of light and shadow, offering both ventilation and an infusion of natural light into the interior spaces.

A magnificent triple-height void was meticulously crafted within the façade to craft an inviting and grand entrance for visitors. Achieving this required the alteration of extended balconies that previously spanned the elevation on all floors. This strategic approach not only proved to be a cost-effective solution but also imbued the building with an airy, ethereal ambiance, countering the dense urban environment in which it stands.
